Privacy policy

ArkAnatomy (arkanatomy.arktechrwanda.com) is a study website for medical and dental students run by ArkTech Rwanda, Kigali, Rwanda. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Using ArkAnatomy without an account
You can use the 3D modules, quizzes and encyclopedia, and read the feed, without signing in. Your quiz progress, theme and similar settings are saved only in your own browser on your device. We do not receive them.
Signing in with Google
To post or reply in the student feed you sign in with your Google account. Google shares with us only your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account ID. We do not receive your password, contacts, Drive files or anything else from your Google account.
We use this information to show who wrote a post, keep you signed in, stop spam and abuse, and contact you about your account if needed. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to send marketing.
What you add
- Your profile: display name, university or school, programme and year, and any request for the lecturer badge.
- Your posts, replies, likes and reports.
- If you post anonymously, other students see "Anonymous student". ArkTech administrators can still see who wrote it, so that rules can be enforced.
- Reviews you send through the feedback form, including any name or contact details you choose to give.
Patient privacy
Never post patient names, faces, photos, hospital numbers or anything that could identify a patient. We remove such content when we find it or when it is reported.
Where the data is kept
The site and its database run on Cloudflare. A sign-in cookie keeps you logged in for up to 60 days; it is used only for this purpose. Basic technical logs, such as the country of a request, may be processed by Cloudflare to run and protect the service.
Who can see what
- Posts and replies in the feed are public: anyone can read them.
- Your email address is never shown to other students. It is visible only to ArkTech administrators.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and posts while the service runs. You can delete your own posts and replies at any time. To delete your whole account and everything linked to it, or to get a copy of your data, email info@arktechrwanda.com from the address you sign in with. We reply within 30 days.
Your rights
We handle personal data in line with Rwanda's Law No 058/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how it is used, by writing to the address above.
Children
ArkAnatomy is made for university students. The feed is not intended for children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
